The Camden House, Beverly Hills’ newest restaurant, bar and wine club, opens February 9th, the day after the Grammys, to a grand reception hosted by Shaun Toub from CRASH, currently up for six Oscar nominations; producer Sean Kanan; actress Holly Bonelli; Gary Michael Walters of Bold Films, producing BOBBY, directed by Emilio Estevez with cast including Christian Slater, Sharon Stone, William H. Macy, Demi Moore, Anthony Hopkins, Lyndsey Lohan, Elijah Wood, Lawrence Fishburne and Svetlana Metkina. The Mayor will be attending and presenting a token of recognition to The Camden House.
  Long Island Ice Tea                                 Chef Olivier Russell   Brand new and born out of demand to bring nightlife back to Beverly Hills, The Camden House is being opened by George Besson formerly owner of the mythical Bar One.   Exclusive aspects of The Camden House include private wine club, private screening room, another screen that comes out of the ceiling in the main room, committee-based membership that controls access to the most desirable areas and times of the lounge, ambience, live music, dancing and a certain je ne sais quoi especially appealing for entertainment industry power lunches as much as evening rendezvous.

Taking place the day after the Grammys, The Camden House Grand Opening is affiliated with Hollywood Life Magazine and being covered extensively by dozens of influential press outlets, including Entertainment Tonight. Music Plus Television is a sponsor partner, whose mandate to focus on the music, follow their ears and bring artists and fans together. A number of Grammys winners, nominees and other recording artists expected to attend.

Benefiting Angel Food Charity, the event is also affiliated with Mindfire Entertainment, I.D. Talent, North Star Media,Tomorrow’s Horizons production company, whose credits to date include HACK! and CARPOOL GUY, as well as Tricarico Chavez LLP, the famed entertainment law firm with clients such as award-winning director Ang Lee.

Jason of Beverly Hills, a fine diamond and personal jeweler, is the exclusive jewelry partner to the event. The Camden House walls feature paintings by Daniel Maltzman.

The much awaited opening of The Camden House is expected to attract influential artists, guests and L.A. luminaries.

The bar and the restaurant looks great, the meals and the room both have a flair for success. The drink selection at Camden House is also something to be sipped. The bar menu was designed with signature drinks such as the Long Island Ice Tea and Martinis, along with a well-thought out wine list to accompany any meal.
        Appetizer Platter    We started with a great selection of Camden East Appetizer suggested by our waitress; Crispy Baby Calamary, was tendear, crispy and delicious; Baked Lobster on Fried Tofu, great as well, Iced Shrimp cocktail, the tasty Seared Maine Scallop, and the delicious Baked Unagi “Feuille De Brick” Egg Roll; this one is a must try, I will go for another again again…     Endive and Walnut Salad                                   Squash Soup          

Our choice of salad was the endive salad with walnuts, on a delicious vinaigrette dressing, and the soup that we choose was an excellent choice of squash soup, that was perfect for the cold evening. Creamy and deliciously prepared by the chef Olivier Russell.     Pan Roasted Halibut with Lentils   We also had a nice salad to start our seconds; I dipped my fork into a fabulous entrée of Pan-Roasted Halibut with Lemon-Caper Beurre “Noisette” accompanied by puys Lentils and Pancetta Casserole, it was truly amazing.      Filet Mignon Tournedos with Porcini Polenta   We also sampled the Grilled Filet Mignon Tournedos, with Porcini Polenta, Braised Rapini on Marsala sauce.
The main entrees were all cleverly designed as mini-art portraits worthy of a camera click.     Mango Sorbet with Fresh Berries                       Bar and Lounge Area           We finished our meal with a refreshing dessert of Mango Sorbet with fresh berries, it was delicious!

If you want to relax, Camden House offers a comfortable bar area complete with relaxing couches, a candlelit outdoor patio dining area facing the street, which offers diner's the perfect after-dinner hideaway for some nightcaps. In fact, the entire restaurant flows in a consoling fashion, it's not too pretentious yet absolutely not mundane.
  Bar and Lounge Area   The décor is inviting and exactly what many of us look for after a long day of cellular phones and lap tops.
