Porta Via Restaurant Review

Porta Via is an ideal spot to bring your best client or your date in for a warm, romantic, spontaneous and delicious dinner. It is a great place for birthdays, anniversaries and other romantic evenings.  Portal Via brings a California Italian menu to its patrons. The restaurant has a great bar and warm atmosphere that you can enjoy all night long. Porta Via is charming and has a relaxed atmosphere that attracts a middle aged clientele where people go dressed casual.

We started at the bar, having a wonderful heated cognac and an excellent
long island ice tea. While sitting at the bar we ordered the Fried Calamari served
with a red cocktail sauce, and the amazing crab cakes, which were as
good as, crab cakes get!

Dinner was next and we ordered the salad of the day, which we loved.
We were told that the restaurant has always had a new salad of the day and they
have never repeated the same salad twice!

We had a hard time choosing our main courses since they have a large
selection of dinners on the menu. We had the Parmesan-encrusted baked
halibut that made me feel like I was in heaven… and  next entree was the Veal Parmesan, very tender and tasty.  The chef also wanted us to try their Sesame
Seeded Ahi tuna, which was one of the best we ever had!  To end the meal
we were served a delicious chocolate soufflé mouse, surrounded
with whipped cream and fresh berries!

It was a night not to forget! Porta Via is a casual café, but their Italian cuisine in a surreally eclectic setting has a fantastic menu at reasonable prices. I also recommend that you do not miss their fresh made pasta, and salads which are all worth trying.
The exterior patio is a prime spot for people watching and just relaxing after a
long day. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone looking for a
good Italian meal.

Porta Via has a nice and comfortable atmosphere which is patron by all types
of people.  Need another reason to go? Porta Via is great for anniversaries and
other romantic evenings because they serve heart smart meals, vegetarian meals, seasonal menus, and they have an extensive wine menu.

Porta Via is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. The restaurant offers a full selection of alcoholic beverages that are served at the bar inside where
you can also eat if it gets too crowded.

Entrées range from $19.95 to $23.95.

Payments accepted: Cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express,
Diners Club and Carte Blanche – checks are not accepted.

Smoking is permitted outside on the patio.
